Events & Gatherings
Community workshops, tastings, and hands-on sessions hosted by Corner Cafe & Goods throughout the year.
One of the things we enjoy most about running Corner Cafe & Goods is bringing people together. Since 2018, we have hosted regular events that let our community learn new skills, connect with local artisans, and discover quality tools and equipment firsthand.
Upcoming Events
Knife Skills Workshop
Our most popular recurring event. A hands-on session covering proper grip, rocking and push cuts, julienne and brunoise technique, and basic sharpening fundamentals. Suitable for beginners and intermediate cooks who want to feel more confident with a chef knife. We supply all tools and materials.
Held quarterly — check back for the next scheduled date.
Regular Event Series
Vendor Meet & Greet
We invite local artisans and tool makers to the cafe so you can meet the people behind the products, ask questions, and see craftsmanship up close. Past guests have included custom knifemakers, woodworkers who build cutting boards, and ceramic cookware artisans.
Seasonal Tastings
Each season brings new ingredients and techniques to explore. Our tasting events pair seasonal dishes with equipment demonstrations, showing how the right tools make a difference when working with delicate produce, hearty root vegetables, or holiday proteins.
Damascus Steel Demos
A special event where we bring in experienced bladesmiths to demonstrate the Damascus forging process. Watch layers of steel get folded and shaped into the distinctive wave patterns that make Damascus blades so prized by collectors and chefs alike.
